Amy Marchant, MA, LPC, NCC

Professional Counselor & Practice Owner

(she/her/hers)

I am a trauma therapist that specializes in supporting individuals who have experienced sexual abuse and assault. My focus is on helping clients navigate the complex emotional landscape that often accompanies such traumatic experiences. Whether you're dealing with intrusive triggers, painful flashbacks, self-blame, confusion, or difficulties in romantic relationships, I’m here to assist you in your journey towards healing. Utilizing evidence-based practices, including EMDR therapy when appropriate, my goal is to create a therapeutic environment that is safe, non-judgmental, and free from shame.

I also enjoy working with individuals affected by religious trauma and experiences within cults. The process of deconstructing harmful religious teachings and finding a new path forward can be overwhelming, but together, we will navigate these challenges. My approach involves offering a supportive space to process your feelings and thoughts, and employing effective strategies to gently shift your perspective, helping you to reconstruct a belief system that aligns with your values and promotes well-being.

I received my Bachelor’s of Psychology in 2009 and my Master’s of Professional Counseling in 2012, both from Olivet Nazarene University. I am EMDR certified and completed my EMDR training in 2012. My internship experience was completed at a sexual assault center in Illinois, where I counseled children, teen and adult survivors of sexual abuse and assault. After that, I spent time in both solo and group private practices, working with trauma survivors, as well as those suffering from anxiety and depression.

I founded CETT in 2020 out of a desire to create a place where people could come and know that they would receive the highest level of trauma-informed care after being through traumatic or abusive experiences in their past. When people see our center I want them to think, “I’ll be safe here. I’ll be understood here”.

Healing is not only possible but within reach. I am here to walk alongside you in this transformative journey, offering compassionate support every step of the way.
